Pasadena, CA- El Molino Ave and Villa St Site of Deadly Crash

Pasadena, CA (June 14, 2019)- A crash on Thursday on El Molino Avenue and Villa Street left a man dead at approximately 6:40 am.

Reports state that a grey Kia heading east on Villa Street crashed into a white sedan heading south on El Molino Avenue. The force of the crash tore away the Kia’s driver’s side door, throwing 51-year-old Pasadena man Timothy Jon Carey from the vehicle. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the crash site.

A passenger in the Kia was transported to a local hospital after sustaining minor injuries. Two people in the sedan were uninjured in the crash.

The sedan driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. According to reports, one of the vehicles may have run a red light before the crash.

Pasadena police ask anyone with additional information to call them at 626-744-4501.
