La Mesa, CA- Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Lake Murray Blvd Near Marengo Ave

La Mesa, CA (June 26, 2019)- Authorities reported the death of a pedestrian on Tuesday at approximately 3:35 pm near Marengo Avenue in the 5700 block of Lake Murray Boulevard.

The 66-year-old male La Mesa resident was crossing the westbound lanes of Lake Murray Boulevard when a Toyota SUV struck him.

Paramedics arrived at the site, where the man was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released, pending family notification.

The SUV driver, a teenager, remained at the site of the crash and cooperated with authorities

The crash is under investigation.
