Tracy, CA- Teenager Killed in Wreck on 11th St Near Banta Rd
Tracy, CA (June 28, 2019)- California Highway Patrol Officer Joe Whitlock reported a crash at approximately 11 am on Thursday east of Banta Road on 11th Street that left one person dead.
17-year-old Talona Nathaniel was a passenger in a 2008 Toyota Camry driven by an 18-year-old. As the Camry traveled east on 11th Street, it came into the path of a 1997 Saturn traveling west on 11th Street toward Banta Road.
For reasons unknown, the Camry driver swerved into the westbound lanes and collided with the Saturn.
Nathaniel was killed upon impact with eh Saturn. The 66-year-old driver of the Saturn sustained major injuries, as did the Camry’s driver.
The CHP reported that all three individuals involved in the event were wearing their seat belts when the crash occurred.
