Antioch, CA. Man Injured by Motor Vehicle on Lone Tree Way

Antioch, CA. (July 6, 2018) – One man was reportedly sent to the hospital following an accident on Lone Tree Way on Thursday night. The pedestrian was apparently struck by a vehicle in the 3200 block near Robert Street. The exact time of the crash was not stated but emergency crews reportedly responded to the scene at around 9:50 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a man who was apparently unresponsive, lying in the roadway. All evidence seemed to point the fact that the man had been struck by a truck on Lone Tree Way. The driver of that truck did not leave the scene but instead stayed at the scene to cooperate with authorities. The victim of this accident was immediately transported to a local hospital to be treated for major injuries, although an update on his condition has not yet been provided.

Police have been investigating this accident, and so far it seems as though neither drugs nor alcohol were involved in the accident. Nevertheless, investigators are continuing to work in order to determine who may have been liable for the accident and to establish the events that led to the crash.
