Carlsbad, CA. Motorcycle Crash Kills 1 and Injures 2 Others

Carlsbad, CA. (July 7, 2018) – Police reported that one man was tragically killed and two men were seriously injured in an unfortunate crash that involved three motorcycles on Saturday afternoon. The fatal collision that took place on Carlsbad Boulevard at around 12:15 p.m. in the vicinity of Breakwater Road.

The emergency responders who first arrived on the scene reportedly found three motorcyclists lying down on the road. All three were suffering from serious injuries. A young, 24-year-old man from Vista was quickly transported to a local hospital where he sadly died from his injuries. Both of the other motorcyclists, a 49-year-old man, and a 21-year-old man sustained major injuries as well, and they were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated.

Carlsbad Boulevard had to be closed down in the northbound direction between Breakwater Road and Solamar Drive for most of the afternoon while police began their investigation. There was no more information regarding the cause of the crash or the names of the victims involved.
