Lemoore, CA – Mother and Daughter Dead after Two Brutal Car Collisions along Highway 41

Lemoore, CA (July 9, 2018) – Fresno local news sources reported that two fatal car accidents took place at the same location along Highway 41, in the vicinity of Hanford-Armona Road. The incident occurred around 2:00 PM in the afternoon on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Authorities have identified two deceased victims as 44-year old Maria Torres and her 11-year old daughter. Authorities have not revealed any detailed information concerning the identities of the occupants from the other vehicles at this time.

As per the report, Torres was driving a 2015 Honda Accord in the Lemoore area when, for indeterminate reasons, she sped through a red light at the intersection of Highway 41 and Hanford-Armona. Without warning, a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado traveling northbound on 41 crashed into the Honda. After the first impact, the Chevrolet and Honda swerved out of control and struck two unidentified vehicles in the southbound 41 turn lane.

Officials declared that Torres and her daughter died as a result of the crash but did not specify if the victims died at the scene or in a hospital setting.

Reports have confirmed the Chevrolet driver only suffered minor wounds, while the other two drivers were completely uninjured.
