Tahoma, CA – Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Emerald Bay Road
Tahoma, CA (July 19, 2018) – A male pedestrian was reportedly injured following a hit-and-run accident Thursday afternoon on Emerald Bay Road and Mountain Drive in El Dorado County, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officials were dispatched to the scene of the crash after the victim was struck by a motorist at around 1:11 p.m.
The report filed by the California Highway Patrol confirmed that the suspect was driving a sports vehicle at the time of the collision. The male victim was conscious when emergency responders arrived, apparently suffering from moderate injuries following the impact of the collision. Paramedics attended to the victims’ injuries at the scene but eventually transported the wounded pedestrian to a local hospital.
The suspect who struck the victim is still at-large as authorities are currently attempting to locate them. There was no more information made available concerning the events that led to this accident, and the name of the victim has not been released. The injurious collision is presently under investigation by authorities.
Our sincerest sympathies go out to the victim of this accident as we warmly wish for his full recovery.
California Pedestrian Accident Injury and Hit-and-Run Attorney
Investigators may look into whether or not the pedestrian was in a designated crosswalk, although the vast majority of the investigation will likely focus on locating the suspect at this time. Once found, the hit-and-run driver will face felony charges for leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in bodily injury, and grounds for a personal injury lawsuit will likely ensue. Of course, the victim of this accident is the only one who can make the personal decision to file a claim for compensation.
