Dixon, CA – Victim of Fatal Accident Tuesday on Highway 113 Identified as Tanya Long
Dixon, CA (July 21, 2018) – The deceased victim of a motor vehicle accident that claimed the life of one person and injured several others on Tuesday, July 17, has been identified as 64-year-old Tanya Long. The crash that took Long’s life occurred on Highway 113 in Dixon at approximately 10:00 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, July 17th.
The initial investigation showed that the accident happened after the driver of a Honda CR-V that was heading north on Highway 113 apparently made a left turn onto the Highway 80 off-ramp. A Dodge Dart was reportedly traveling westbound on Highway 80 when they crashed into the vehicle. The Honda came to a halt on the north shoulder of Highway 80 after drifting across a raised dirt shoulder and becoming airborne due to the impact of the crash.
Long was the driver of the Honda, and she was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. A man, woman, and 9-year-old child who were riding in the Dodge all suffered injuries, from minor to serious, in the accident. Those three victims were immediately transported to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center to be treated for their injuries. The names of the injured victims have not been provided.
