Monterey, CA – One Person Injured After Motor Vehicle Accident with Tractor-Trailer on Highway 183

Monterey, CA (July 21, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a collision involving a vehicle and a semi tractor-trailer that resulted in injuries on Highway 183 Friday afternoon. The accident that happened on Highway 183 at McFadden Road reportedly took place at approximately 4:01 p.m.

According to the report that was filed by the California Highway Patrol, a large commercial semi tractor-trailer and a gray sedan were the only two vehicles that were apparently involved. The reason why the two vehicles crashed into each other is currently unknown.

Emergency responders were called to the scene where they arrived promptly in order to assist any injured parties. Responders found one person who reportedly sustained relatively minor leg injuries during the accident. The victim was immediately transported to a local hospital to be treated for their wounds. No other injuries have been reported at this time.

There has been no more information made available regarding the cause of this accident, and the names of those involved have not been released. A thorough investigation is currently being conducted in an effort to determine who may have been liable for the collision.
