Sanger, CA – Serious Injuries Suffered Following Collision at N Del Rey and E Belmont Avenues

Sanger, CA (July 22, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle collision that resulted in serious injuries at the intersection of E Belmont and N Del Rey Avenues on Saturday afternoon. The injurious collision that reportedly occurred at the intersection in Sanger had apparently taken place at around 4:14 p.m., according to authorities.

A report filed by the California Highway Patrol stated that a Nissan Frontier collided with another, unspecified vehicle for reasons that have not yet been established. Officers reported that one of the vehicles involved in the collision caught fire following the impact. A driver of one of the vehicles involved had reportedly become pinned inside after their vehicle apparently crashed into a house. Firefighters were immediately dispatched to the scene where they had to extricate the trapped motorist.

All reports confirmed that severe injuries were sustained in the accident, however, authorities did not relay the exact number of victims. No further information has been released in reference to how this collision started, or the names of those involved. Authorities are presently leading an investigation into the events surrounding this crash in order to establish liability.
