Auburn, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash Near Newcastle Road on 80 Freeway

Auburn, CA (July 23, 2018) – Two vehicles apparently collided Monday morning in a crash that resulted in injuries to one woman in Auburn, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash that occurred in the eastbound lanes of the 80 Freeway, a little west of Newcastle Road, reportedly transpired at around 11:44 a.m.

The reports that were released stated that there were no more than two vehicles involved in the crash. The two vehicles that were involved were reportedly an unknown truck and a green Toyota. The reason for the crash was not determined, while the exact models of the vehicles involved are currently unknown. Authorities reportedly concluded that a semi tractor-trailer may have been involved in the collision, although that has not been verified at this time.

According to all the reports, one person had been injured in the accident. That person was reportedly a female occupant of one of the vehicles involved, and she sustained at least minor injuries during the accident. It is unclear as to whether or not the victim was transported to the hospital.
