Bloomington, San Bernardino County, CA – Multi-Vehicle Accident and Suspected Hit-and-Run Occurs on Northbound Cedar Street
Bloomington, San Bernardino County, CA (July 24, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported that a multi-vehicle accident and suspected hit-and-run took place along the northbound lane section of Cedar Street. The incident occurred at approximately 2:42 PM in the afternoon. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the people involved in the crash has been revealed.
According to initial CHP reports, a tractor was traveling along Cedar Street when, for indeterminate reasons, it collided into the rear-end of a passenger vehicle. As a result of the first impact, five more vehicles crashed and caused a chain reaction. Afterward, rescue crews and paramedics were dispatched to the crash site and provided assistance to the victims. Officials reported that a blue vehicle was jammed under the front of a semi-truck as a result of the impact and multiple victims were pinned inside their wrecked vehicles.
The current conditions of these victims have not been disclosed.
While initial reports indicate the accident has been labeled as a hit-and-run, police have not provided any information about the suspect driver. As of now, the investigation is ongoing. As more evidence continues to surface, more information will be released to public sources.
