Coarsegold, CA – Two Women Injured after Traffic Accident on Northbound Highway 41
Coarsegold, CA (July 27, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported that two women sustained injuries as the result of an accident that took place along the northbound lanes of Highway 41. The incident occurred a little after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the two victims involved in the crash has been revealed.
As the CHP reported, a red 2006 Mustang was traveling down Highway 41 and failed to spot the traffic light switch to red. Without warning, the vehicle slammed into an oncoming silver Jetta approaching from Lucky Lane.
Officials confirmed the 72-year old female Jetta driver, a resident of Coarsegold, was transported to St. Agnes in Fresno, where she received treatment for pain in her neck, shoulder, and stomach.
Meanwhile, the 43-year old Ahwahnee woman who had been driving the Mustang received treatment for cuts on her arm.
At this time, investigators are looking into possible causes for the accident. As more evidence continues to surface, more detailed information will be released to public sources.
Two-Vehicle Accident in Coarsegold
Based on the information provided in the report, the woman who was driving the Mustang failed to stop for a red light and crashed into the Jetta. Officials have not revealed if she could face any charges.
