Hayward, CA – One Person Hospitalized After Motorcycle Accident on Highway 92

Hayward, CA (July 27, 2018) – A motorcyclist had to be hospitalized Friday afternoon following a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 92, according to the California Highway Patrol. The harmful crash which happened a little west of the Hesperian Boulevard off-ramp reportedly took place at approximately 3:42 p.m.

The report that the California Highway Patrol released stated that the motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle in the eastbound lanes of the highway for reasons that are presently unknown. According to the report, a white Nissan Altima was the vehicle involved.

Paramedics along with officials from the fire department were quick to arrive on the scene following the accident to attend to the victim. The motorcyclist was seriously injured due to the impact of the collision and was immediately transported to a local hospital to undergo further treatment. Neither the name nor the current condition of the victim has been released at this time.

The slow lane of the highway was reportedly blocked after the incident but was reopened by 4:12 p.m. There was no more information made available in regards to the cause of the crash. Investigators are currently examining the events surrounding the collision.
