Sacramento, CA – One Injured After Motorcycle Accident on Highway 50 and 5 Freeway

Sacramento, CA (July 28, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported an accident that occurred at Highway 50 and 5 Freeway transition ramp that resulted in the injury of a motorcyclist late Thursday night. The accident which was reported to have taken place in the vicinity of the Q Street off-ramp occurred at approximately 10:42 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol reportedly received a call about the accident that involved the motorcyclist and two other vehicles in the westbound lanes of Highway 50 toward the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway connector ramp. Both of the other vehicles involved were stopped at the scene with their hazard lights on as the motorcyclist was found down in the number 1 lane.

Officials from the Sacramento Fire Department as well as paramedics were immediately in the scene as they swiftly attended to the victim. The motorcycle rider reportedly sustained injuries that were considered to be minor during the wreck. There was no more information made available in regards to the events that led to the accident, and neither the name nor the specific condition of the victim has been released.
