Thousand Oaks, CA – Several Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Hillcrest Drive Near Highway 23

Thousand Oaks, CA (July 29, 2018) – An accident involving multiple vehicles reportedly resulted in several injuries in Thousand Oaks on Sunday afternoon, according to local authorities. The seriously injurious crash that took place west of Highway 23, in the 900 block of Hillcrest Drive occurred at around 2:50 p.m.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office reported stated that at least five vehicles were involved in the collision. Emergency responders were promptly called to the scene of the accident that saw several people trapped inside of their vehicles. The responders worked hard to extricate each victim who needed the assistance.

Five people altogether were confirmed to have required transportation to a local hospital for further treatment, although, the exact number of those injured has not been stated. Three of the victims involved were reportedly suffering from very serious injuries as the other two had sustained wounds that were classified as minor.

There was no more information made available in regards to the cause of this accident. Likewise, the names and specific conditions of those involved in this collision have not been released. Authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation into this accident to establish liability.
