Ventura, CA – One Person Injured after Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 near Highway 33

Ventura, CA (July 31, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported that one person sustained injuries as the result of a two-vehicle accident that took place along Highway 101, in the vicinity of Highway 33. The incident occurred at approximately 6:00 PM in the evening on Monday, July 30, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the people involved in the crash has been revealed.

According to initial CHP reports, two vehicles, including a mini cooper, were traveling down Highway 101 and, for indeterminate reasons, collided near Highway 33. Later, rescue crews were dispatched to the crash site and discovered that both vehicles had burst into flames. Upon arrival, Ventura County firefighters successfully extinguished the flames.

Meanwhile, medical personnel transported one person to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Afterward, authorities requested towing services to remove the wreckage.

As of now, the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. As more evidence continues to surface, more information will be released to public sources.
