San Diego, CA – Man Dies after Brutal Collision with Speeding Vehicle along Del Sol Boulevard

San Diego, CA (August 1, 2018) – The San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office recently reported that a male pedestrian was killed during a brutal collision that occurred on the 4400 block of Del Sol Boulevard. The incident happened at approximately 7:00 AM in the morning on Monday, July 30, 2018. At this time, the Office has not revealed any details about the identity of the male pedestrian, and authorities have not elaborated on the identities of the motorists or additional parties involved in the crash at this time.

According to initial reports, an unidentified man, described as being in his 40s, was attempting to cross Del Sol Boulevard when, without warning, a speeding vehicle slammed into him. Upon impact, the victim was tossed about 180 feet down the roadway before he was struck by another vehicle. Later, San Diego Police and firefighters joined responding paramedics at the crash site and sadly confirmed the victim had died from his injuries.

Authorities did not specify if the motorists had been injured or had remained at the crash site.

Presently, the investigation is ongoing. As more evidence continues to surface, more information will be released to public sources.
