Big Sur, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Collision on Highway 1

Big Sur, CA (August 1, 2018) – A traffic collision occurred Wednesday morning in the southbound lanes of Highway 1 that reportedly resulted in the injuries of a motorcyclist, according to the California Highway Patrol. The injurious collision that occurred just a little south of Deetjin’s Big Sur Inn at approximately 10:56 a.m.

Officials from the California Highway Patrol were immediately notified of the accident along with paramedics. The emergency crews arrived on the scene a short time after the collision in order to attend to any injured victims. According to reports, the motorcyclist was the only one who sustained any injuries and they were promptly rushed to a local hospital. There was no mention of the other vehicle involved or whether or not anyone else injured.

No further information has been provided in regards to the events that led to the crash. Likewise, the current condition of the victims’ injuries is unknown at this time. The California Highway Patrol is presently in charge of the investigation into this accident in an effort to establish liability.
