Victorville, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Crash on D Street and 6th Street

Victorville, CA (August 1, 2018) – According to a local and trustworthy news source, a female pedestrian was reportedly struck and killed by two vehicles as she was apparently crossing D Street at 6^th Street on Wednesday morning. The fatal accident that occurred in front of a Greyhound bus station took place at approximately 1:19 a.m.

As per the report, the woman was crossing in the 16800 block of D Street outside of the bus station when she was struck by a sedan that was traveling west on the same road. She was reportedly hit by a second driver in a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck only moments after the first vehicle struck her. The second motorist was also heading west at the time of the accident. Apparently, the posted speed limit is 40 mph and there is no marked crosswalk in the area where the incident occurred.

Paramedics were immediately called in order to assist the victim, though she was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. D Street had to be shut down between 4^th and 7^th Streets as authorities began the preliminary investigation.

Both motorists involved in the crash reportedly stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities. No more information has been provided regarding the reason for the accident or the name of the victim. The Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is currently in charge of the investigation.
