Shafter, CA – Car Crash Results in Serious Injuries at Tulare and Palm Avenues

Shafter, CA (August 1, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident between two vehicles that resulted in major injuries on Wednesday afternoon in Shafter. According to authorities, the injurious collision took place around 1:04 p.m. at the intersection of Tulare Avenue and Palm Avenue.

At this time, it seems as though the drivers of both vehicles suffered serious injuries due to the impact of the crash. The nature of the injuries is unconfirmed, however, paramedics were reportedly at the scene in order to assist the victims. A medical aircraft had to be called to the scene and landed shortly after. Both of the victims were flown to Memorial Hospital which is located in nearby Bakersfield.

No further information has been provided in regards to the events that led to this accident. Likewise, neither the names nor the current conditions of either victim have been released at this time. Authorities are actively conducting a full investigation into all aspects of this accident.
