San Diego, CA – Three-Vehicle Crash with Tractor-Trailer on 15 Freeway

San Diego, CA (August 3, 2018) – At least one person was confirmed to have suffered injuries following a collision that involved three vehicles on Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol. The injurious accident that involved a large commercial tractor-trailer reportedly took place at around 12:40 p.m.

The report released by the California Highway Patrol stated that the crash occurred in the number 1 and number 2 lanes on the southbound side of the 15 Freeway. The report detailed the specific location of the accident as having taken place at the state Route 94 interchange. The injured party was apparently pinned inside their vehicle due to the impact of the collision.

Paramedics were called to the scene along with firefighters who were able to free the occupant who was trapped inside their vehicle. After being freed from the vehicle, paramedics treated the injured individual who was reportedly suffering from a head injury. Whether or not the victim was transported to a hospital has not been made clear at this time. Investigators are currently looking into all aspects of this accident in an effort to determine liability.
