Folsom, CA – Several Injured in DUI Crash Following Police Chase on Clarksville Road

Folsom, CA (August 4, 2018) – Several people were reported injured following a police chase that resulted in a motor vehicle accident Friday afternoon on Clarksville Road in Folsom. A local and reliable news source reported the crash that occurred after police had been attempting to pull over a motorist on suspicion of DUI.

According to reports, the suspect did not pull over but continued driving along Iron Point Road. The allegedly impaired driver then attempted a left turn onto Broadstone Parkway before crashing into a vehicle on Clarksville Road. The impact of the crash sent debris flying through the air, some of which struck and injured a nearby pedestrian. Both the driver of the vehicle that was struck along with the suspected DUI driver was injured in the collision.

Paramedics were quick to arrive on the scene in an effort to assist the injured parties. All three of the victims were immediately transported to a local hospital to be treated for their wounds. The extent of injuries has not been provided at this time, however, officials added that the impaired motorist who caused this crash will be arrested following their release from the hospital. Authorities are presently engaged in a full investigation of all the events that transpired during this accident.
