Long Beach, CA – Authorities Identify Driver Killed during Accident on Studebaker Road near Driscoll Street

Long Beach, CA (August 8, 2018) – An Orange County news source provided updated information about the driver who died as the result of an accident along the 1300 block of Studebaker Road, in the vicinity of Driscoll Street. The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 PM in the evening last month on Saturday, July 21, 2018. As of today, authorities have identified the deceased driver as 23-year old Juan Serrano. No details about the identities of the three women who rode in the car with Serrano have been released at this time.

As stated in the report, Serrano had been driving an unidentified vehicle along Studebaker Road when, for indeterminate reasons, he slid into the left lane as he approached the junction at Driscoll Street. As a result, the Serrano sideswiped a median at the center of the roadway and completely lost control. The force of the crash sent the vehicle careening into a tree and a light pole before ultimately crashing into a motorhome on Studebaker.

Sometime later, medical personnel transported Serrano to a nearby hospital. Sadly, Serrano died from his traumatic injuries about six days following the crash.

As of now, officials confirmed that additional victims were involved in the crash. Rescue teams rushed a 19-year old woman from Huntington Beach to a nearby hospital, where she received treatment for severe injuries. Her current physical condition has not been disclosed.

Officials also assisted 1n 18-year old girl and a 29-year old woman, both from Stanton, who did not sustain injuries during the impact.

Presently, investigators are looking into what factors may have forced Serrano to swerve off the road. As more evidence continues to surface, more information will be released to public sources.
