Sorrento Valley, CA – Deadly Pedestrian Crash with Vehicle on I-805 Freeway near Mira Mesa Road

Sorrento Valley, CA (August 10, 2018) – a pedestrian was sadly struck and killed by a vehicle on the Interstate 805 Freeway early Friday morning, according to a local and dependable news source out of San Diego. The fatal accident took place at the Mira Mesa Road and Sorrento Valley Road exit at around 3:30 a.m.

Authorities confirmed that the pedestrian and the driver of one vehicle were the only parties involved in the collision. The vehicle involved was reported to be a Lexus sedan that struck the victim for reasons that are yet to be determined. Paramedics were immediately dispatched to the scene to attend to the victims’ wounds. Tragically, the injuries sustained were too severe as the victim passed away before responders were able to transport them to a hospital.

The California Highway Patrol stated that the driver of the vehicle that struck the victim remained at the scene and fully cooperated with the investigation.
