El Centro, CA – Woman Injured in Crash Between Tractor-Trailer and Vehicle on Highway 111 and Cruickshank Road
El Centro, CA (August 10, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a crash involving a large commercial tractor-trailer that resulted in serious injuries at the intersection of Old Highway 11 and Cruickshank Road on Friday morning. The seriously injurious accident was reported to have taken place at exactly 10:23 a.m.
Officials from the California Highway Patrol stated that the collision took place between a tractor-trailer and an SUV. According to the report, the SUV and the large commercial truck collided for reasons that are unknown at this time. The impact of the collision was reported to have left one woman inside the SUV with major injuries.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene to attend to any victims and found the injured woman in severe pain. It is alleged that the victim had suffered internal injuries during the collision. The unidentified woman was immediately rushed to a local hospital to be treated for her wounds. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not reported to have been hurt in the crash.
According to a witness, the driver of the SUV had been making a turn just before the accident, however, no further details were provided in regards to the cause of the collision. The investigation into the events surrounding this incident is currently being conducted.
