San Diego, CA – Two People Injured after Two-Vehicle Accident at Intersection of Poway Road and State Route 67

San Diego, CA (August 10, 2018) – The San Diego Sheriff’s Department reported that two victims sustained injuries as the result of a two-vehicle accident that took place at the intersection of Poway Road and State Route 67. The incident happened at approximately 11:40 AM in the morning on Thursday, August 9, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the people involved in the crash has been revealed.

Based on initial reports, an unidentified vehicle was heading north along State Route 67 and, for indeterminate reasons, crashed into the rear of a second vehicle that had yielded for a red light. As a result, the force of the impact sent the second vehicle careening into a nearby light pole.

Sometime later, officials confirmed two victims suffered moderate injuries and were hospitalized to receive more in-depth treatment.

At this time, the San Diego Sheriff’s Department has assumed authority over the ongoing investigation into the collision on Poway Road and State Route 67.
