Apple Valley, CA – Two Riders Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Central and Quarry Roads

Apple Valley, CA (August 11, 2018) – A local news source reported two accidents involving two motorcyclists at the intersection of Central Road and Quarry Road Saturday afternoon. The crashes that resulted in injuries to both riders were reported to have transpired at approximately 1:04 p.m. in Apple Valley.

The news article stated that two male motorcycle riders who seemed to be friends with one another were riding their bikes in the vicinity of the intersection. Both men lost control of their motorcycles while they were traveling on the north side of Central Road for reasons that are presently unknown. One of the riders crashed on railroad tracks in the area while the other man slammed into a water tank, according to officials.

Emergency responders were immediately on the scene to attend to the victims. One of the men sustained major trauma and had to be urgently rushed to Apple Valley Airport where the victim was then airlifted by a Mercy Air helicopter to Loma Linda University Medical Center. The second injured victim was reported to be suffering from non-life-threatening injuries and he was quickly taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment.

No further information has been reported at this time, and neither the names nor the current conditions of the victims have been released. The Victorville division of the California Highway Patrol is currently in charge of the investigation into this incident.
