Sacramento, CA – Two People Hospitalized Following Rollover Crash on 5 Freeway

Sacramento, CA (August 13, 2018) – Reports stated that two people were injured during a motor vehicle accident that transpired Monday morning on the Interstate 5 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash which resulted in one of the vehicles overturning and which transpired between West El Camino Avenue and Garden Highway was reported to have taken place at around 6:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the freeway.

The California Highway Patrol reported the incident and stated that a vehicle or vehicles were involved in the accident, however, there was no word as to how many vehicles or people were involved. Nevertheless, two people were reported to be trapped inside of the vehicle that rolled over.

Sacramento firefighters along with paramedics were immediately called to the scene to provide aid to the victims. The two people who were pinned within their vehicle had to be extricated by responding firefighters. One person was confirmed to be seriously injured and currently suffering from critical injuries as the two victims were both transported to a local hospital for treatment.

No further information has been provided in regards to this incident. Authorities are actively conducting a thorough investigation into all aspects of the accident.
