Lake Balboa, Los Angeles, CA – Five Civilians and Two Police Officers Injured after Three-Vehicle Traffic Accident on Hayvenhurst Avenue and Victory Boulevard

Lake Balboa, Los Angeles, CA (August 13, 2018) – A local news source reported that seven people, including two police officers, sustained injuries as the result of a three-vehicle traffic accident that took place along Hayvenhurst Avenue and Victory Boulevard. The incident occurred at approximately 8:10 PM at night on Monday, August 13, 2018. At this time, no detailed information about the people involved in the crash has been revealed.

According to the initial police report, a sedan had been traveling westbound across Victory when, for indeterminate reasons, at the same time an SUV had prepared to execute a left turn on Hayvenhurst. As the SUV began to turn at the junction, it was clipped by the oncoming sedan.

Meanwhile, a police vehicle was preparing to turn left, as well. After colliding at the intersection, both vehicles plowed into the police car. Ultimately, the SUV overturned, and the police car slid into the sedan during the impact.

Sometime later, Los Angeles firefighters and responding paramedics arrived at the crash site rendered aid to a total of seven victims who sustained injuries in the crash.

Medical personnel confirmed two children and three older victims who had occupied the first SUV sustained injuries ranging from non-life threatening to severe.

Both officers from the police car were transported to a nearby hospital, where they received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

The current physical conditions of all seven victims have not been immediately disclosed. Presently, the investigation is ongoing.
