Danville, CA – One Person Injured after Two-Vehicle Collision on Sycamore Valley Road and Camino Ramon near Interstate 680

Danville, CA (August 20, 2018) – Local police reported that one victim sustained injuries as the result of a collision involving two vehicles that took place along Sycamore Valley Road and Camino Ramon, in the vicinity of Interstate 680. The incident transpired a little after 6:00 PM in the evening on Sunday, August 19, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the people involved in the crash has been revealed.

Based on the initial report, a white Jeep SUV was heading east down Sycamore Valley Road at the same time a red Audi was traveling north on Camino Ramon. As the Audi attempted to exit onto Sycamore Valley, it collided with the oncoming Jeep. The resulting impact overturned the Jeep, which landed in the Sycamore Valley median.

Sometime later, medical personnel brought the driver of the Jeep to a nearby hospital, where the victim received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

The Audi driver did not sustain injuries during the impact.

Meanwhile, authorities stalled traffic near the junction of Sycamore Valley Road and Camino Ramon. Police announced cleanup procedures would conclude at 8:00 PM.

As of now, the investigation is ongoing. As more evidence continues to surface, more information will be released to public sources.
