San Jose, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Accident on Highway 87 and Almaden Expressway

San Jose, CA (August 25, 2018) – A motorcycle rider was reported to have sustained injuries following a traffic accident on Friday afternoon in the northbound lanes of Highway 87 near the Almaden Expressway, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash was reported to have transpired at approximately 3:20 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol reported the accident after a motorcyclist and another vehicle crashed in the northbound lanes of the highway for reasons that are currently unknown. According to the report, the vehicle that was involved in the crash was described as a black Volkswagen Jetta.

Paramedics were immediately called to the scene and promptly arrived to attend to the victim. The medical personnel attended to the injured motorcyclist who was found suffering from unknown wounds as a result of the wreck. The motorcycle was found in the number three lane of the highway following the collision. It was not reported as to whether or not the driver of the Jetta had stopped at the scene, and no specifics were stated in regards to the motorcyclists’ condition or if they required hospitalization for their injuries.
