Indio, CA – One Major Injury Reported Following Car Crash with Tractor-Trailer on 10 Freeway near Dillon Road

Indio, CA (August 26, 2018) – According to report filed by the Riverside County Fire Department, one person had to be hospitalized following a motor vehicle accident involving a vehicle and a big rig that transpired on the 10 Freeway near Dillon Road on Sunday morning. The accident which occurred on the highway east of Dillon Road and resulted in serious injuries was reported to have taken place at approximately 10:50 a.m.

While the make and model of the vehicle involved were not reported, officials stated that a passenger vehicle had collided with a tractor-trailer for reasons that are currently unknown. Emergency medical personnel who immediately arrived on the scene discovered the vehicle lodged underneath the big rig upon their arrival.

Firefighters were called to the scene to help the victim who was trapped inside the vehicle and successfully extricated them.
