Huntington Beach, CA – One Killed and One Injured in Accident on Warner Avenue and Nichols Lane

Huntington Beach, CA (September 1, 2018) – According to a local news source in Orange County, a deadly motor vehicle accident took place Friday afternoon, August 31, in the vicinity of Warner Avenue and Nichols Lane. The collision was reported to have transpired at approximately 3:40 p.m.

According to the reports that were filed, the Huntington Beach police stated that two vehicles were involved in the crash that occurred for reasons that are unknown at this time. Police said that both vehicles were traveling eastbound on Warner Avenue when a car struck the rear-end of a pickup truck. One passenger was ejected from the pickup as the truck rolled over from the impact of the accident.

Emergency responders were immediately called to the crash site to attend to the victims. The occupant who was thrown from the pickup was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup was quickly transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for their injuries. Furthermore, the driver of the other vehicle was also reported to have been hospitalized following the crash.

No more information has been released, and the name of the deceased victim has not been stated. Likewise, neither the names nor current conditions of the injured victims have been made available. The cause of this accident is currently under investigation.
