Napa, CA – Fatal Napa Work Truck Crash on State Route 121

Napa, CA – (November 8, 2018) – At least one person was killed in a traffic accident that occurred Thursday afternoon in the area of Napa. The incident transpired at approximately 1:02 pm on Highway 12 also known as State Route 121. No details identifying the people involved in the accident were released.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a work company truck hauling a tractor crossed into oncoming traffic lanes and suddenly struck a sedan. The force of the impact caused the two vehicles to become disabled in an embankment below the highway. Responding officers attempted to revive at least one injured person but sadly the victim died at the scene of the accident. Authorities did not specify the number of people who sustained injuries in this accident. Officials closed several eastbound lanes on Highway 12 to give way to an on-scene investigation and clearing operation.

This incident remains under investigation.
