Poway, CA – One Person Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Twin Peaks Road
Poway, CA – (November 14, 2018) – Authorities are investigating a series of pedestrian accidents that occurred on a Poway road Tuesday night. The first accident was reported at around 8 pm on November 13th on Twin Peaks Road near Midland Road.
According to the San Diego Sherriff’s Department, an unidentified woman was driving a vehicle that struck a pedestrian attempting to cross the road. Shortly after the tragic accident, the woman’s husband rushed to the crash site and as he attempted to cross the same road, he was struck by another vehicle passing by. First responders discovered both victims lying in the roadway and attempted to render aid to the victims and stabilize them before transporting them to a local hospital for treatment. Officials confirmed, the man sustained life-threatening injuries and sadly died of those injuries in the hospital. The extent of the woman’s injuries was not immediately disclosed at the time of the initial log. The drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene of the crash and complied with authorities. The deputies said alcohol and drugs were unlikely factors in the crash.
Deputies are currently investigating the incident.
