Napa, CA – Hit-and-Run Driver Injures Two People on Silverado Trail
Napa, CA – (November 15, 2018) – Two people were injured in a hit-and-run collision that occurred Tuesday afternoon, in Napa. The collision took place at about 1:30 pm on Tuesday, November 13th on Silverado Trail near Trancas Street.
According to California Highway Patrol, a Pontiac was traveling northbound on Silverado Trail when the driver suddenly and unexpectedly turned into the path of the GMC driven by 38-year-old Tyler Coker, of Napa. Investigators were immediately unclear whether or not the GMC crashed into the Pontiac, but they did confirm Coker’s GMC collided with the Jeep driven by 58-year-old Barry Bliss, of Napa. The driver of the Pontiac, identified as 27-year-old Francesco Commisso, of Napa, failed to stop at the crash site and fled the scene on foot. Police eventually tracked Coker down and placed him under arrest. Responding paramedics provided medical treatment to both Coker and Bliss at the crash site. It was unclear if they were taken to a hospital by ambulance or chose to seek other ways of transportation. Commisso faces charges which included hit-and-run and also had a warrant for his arrest following a previous charge. No additional information was immediately available.
Police are currently conducting an investigation into the accident.
