Los Angeles, CA – One Person Injured in Train Accident at Highland Park Station

Los Angeles, CA – (November 16, 2018) – A Los Angeles County Metro Gold Line train collided with a vehicle in Los Angeles Friday morning. The collision took place at an unspecified time near the Highland Park station.

Officials confirmed an unidentified vehicle was on the train tracks in the area of Highland Park Station when an oncoming train, attempting to slow down, slammed into the vehicle. Paramedics rushed to the scene of the accident and transported the driver of the car to a local hospital to treat the injuries sustained upon impact of the collision. According to officers, the car involved sustained heavy damage on the front end. Investigators also discovered that rail crossing guard equipment was knocked down. Details are extremely limited at this time, and it’s unknown what caused the crash.
