Motorcycle Accidents in California
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, thousands of motorcyclists suffer fatal injuries every year in the United States. The leading cause is usually negligence on the passenger vehicle driver’s behalf. In this case, although the accident is still being investigated, reports revealed that the driver of the Ford failed to yield for the motorcyclist who had the right of way. Whenever drivers aren’t paying attention to motorcyclists, it’s usually due to distracted driving, which includes using a cell phone, eating, applying makeup, programming a GPS, conversing with a passenger, and more.
The deceased motorcyclist’s family could file a wrongful death lawsuit with the help of a California wrongful death attorney to help cover medical and funeral expenses. It’s vital that the family seek legal representation as soon as possible to avoid missing the time frame in which they can file a claim.
