Vehicle Accidents in California
There are almost one million hit-and-run accidents every year in the United States. Drivers attempt to flee the scene when they know they’ve acted negligently and don’t want to be held accountable for their actions. It’s unfortunate when drivers don’t remain at the scene to help those affected by the accident. Some fatal injuries could have been prevented if drivers remained at the crash site to call an ambulance for injured victims.
Once the police find and arrest the driver responsible, he or she will be faced with hit-and-run charges and may be held fully liable for the entire accident. The injured victim will then have a better chance of winning their personal injury lawsuit.
