Glendale, CA – Pedestrian Loses Life in Traffic Cash
Glendale, CA (December 23, 2018) On the evening of December 21st, a traffic crash involving a pedestrian happened at the intersection of Glenoaks Boulevard and Linden Avenue. According to the reports, a 73-year-old named Novar Ismailyan was struck by a vehicle at around 7:20 p.m. When the paramedics arrived, they found the woman laying in front of the Saint Matthew Luerthan Church. Unfortunately, she suffered fatal injuries before she could be transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver did not remain at the scene to help the woman. The police are currently searching for the driver responsible.
We send our condolences to Ismailyan’s family as we know it’s difficult to lose a loved one in an accident that could have potentially been avoided.
Pedestrian Accidents in California
Recent Studies show that people who are 65 years of age and older account for one third of pedestrian fatalities. Because the body of an elderly person is sensitive and fragile, it’s easy for them to succumb to their injuries. It’s very unfortunate that drivers don’t remain at the crash site to help aid pedestrians until an ambulance arrives. Had that been the case, there’s a possibility that a lot more lives could have been saved.
Once the police find and arrest the driver responsible, Ismailyan’s family could file a wrongful death lawsuit depending on who ends up fully liable for the accident.
At Brady Law Group, we know how hard it is for families to lose loved ones in vehicle accidents, which is why we work hard to help them recover compensation for damages and losses. No amount of money can supplement the lost life of a loved one, but it will help cover funeral costs, loss of spousal support, and more.
