Pedestrian Accidents in California
Recent studies show that 56 percent of teenage drivers talk on the phone while they drive. Talking on the phone while driving is considered an act of negligence because all drivers are required to remain aware of their surroundings at all times. Therefore, when a driver uses a cell phone, they’re attention is split, which leads to the injuries and deaths of thousands of people every year.
The police are currently investigating this accident to determine if the teenage driver will be held partially or fully liable. They’re inspecting road conditions, vehicle conditions, and weather conditions. They’re also checking to see if negligence played a role in this accident. Once they conclude their reports, it’s likely that the deceased pedestrian’s family will file a wrongful death lawsuit with the help of a California wrongful death attorney.
