Pedestrian Accidents in California
Studies indicate that most pedestrian accidents occur when drivers aren’t paying attention to their surroundings. However, there are some cases where pedestrians contribute to causing an accident. For example, if a pedestrian crosses the street at night while wearing dark clothing, they’re putting themselves at an extremely high risk of being seriously injured or killed. The police are currently conducting an investigation of this accident to determine if the driver responsible will be held fully or partially liable. The police have revealed that the area was very dark at the time of the collision, which could have contributed to the crash. Once they finalize their investigation, the deceased pedestrian’s family may be able to file a wrongful death lawsuit with the help of a California wrongful death attorney.
