Santa Barbara, CA – Bicyclist Injured in Bicycle Accident on Highway 154

Santa Barbara, CA (January 11, 2019) On the afternoon of January 11^th, a bicycle accident happened near the crossroads of Painted Cave Road and Highway 154, which is also known as San Marcos Pass Road.

According to the reports, at approximately 1:46 p.m., a light-colored pickup truck struck a male bicyclist, causing him to end up on the side of the road suffering from a head injury. The paramedics arrived and treated him before transporting him to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the accident and if the driver will be held fully or partially liable. Fortunately, the driver remained at  the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
