UPDATE: Hemet, CA – 26-Year-Old Russell Bombgardner Identified as Victim in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 74

Hemet, CA (January 16, 2019) This is an update on a story that we wrote last week.  On the 11^th of January, a fatal multi-vehicle accident happened on Highway 74 also known as E. Florida Street,  at around 10:00 p.m. According to the reports, three vehicles collided on the highway, just a quarter mile west of the U.S. Forest Service and the Cranston Fire Station. The impact of the crash sent one of the vehicles off the roadway and into a tree.

When emergency crews arrived at the scene to tend to the crash, they found a man, now identified as 26-year-old Russell Bombgardner dead at the scene and two others suffering from minor injuries.

The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating this accident to determine what led up to the crash and who will be held liable.
