San Bernardino, CA – Richard Cuthbert Killed in Fatal DUI Car Accident at Intersection of Highland Avenue and Sierra Way

San Bernardino, CA (January 21, 2019) – Richard Cuthbert, a 40-year-old from Redlands, lost his life in a horrific fatal car accident that took place at an intersection today around 12:15 a.m.

Police confirmed that Cuthbert was killed in the accident and three other people received injuries, including a driver suspected of driving drunk at the time. The accident took place at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Sierra Way.

At the time, 26-year-old Kortni Vinson was driving a Dodge Caliber north on the roadway when she ran a red light going into the intersection. Police quickly determined that Vinson had been driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time.

Paramedics responded to the scene but said that Cuthbert tragically passed away at the scene of the accident due to his injuries. His two passengers were also injured in the accident.

Police are still working on their investigation of the accident to determine if Vinson had been driving intoxicated at the time.
