Vallejo, CA – Gretchen Elliot Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Lewis Brown Drive
Vallejo, CA (January 25, 2019) – 23-year-old Gretchen Elliott was killed in a pedestrian accident that took place on Lewis Brown Drive on Tuesday night when she was walking around.
On Lewis Brown Drive around 6:58 p.m., the driver of a black Kia Soul struck Elliott when she was walking along. The impact of being struck so hard threw Elliott down the road until she was lying in front of a furniture store. Paramedics responded to the accident and quickly transported her to the hospital but she later died of her injuries.
The 52-year-old man who struck Elliot stopped and cooperated with police in the investigation. Police believe that speed was not a factor in the accident and they are still trying to determine if alcohol use played a role.
The investigation into this matter continues at this time.
We were extremely saddened to hear about the news of Gretchen Elliot losing her life and hope that all parties affected by this accident will be able to find peace and comfort during this difficult time.
