Rancho Cordova, CA – Two Injured After Rear-End Accident on Highway 50

Rancho Cordova, CA (January 26, 2019) – On Friday, two people were injured in a rear-end accident that took place on Highway 50. Police are currently working on their investigation.

The accident took place when a Chevrolet Bolt had been driving westbound on Highway 50 near the area of Sunrise Boulevard. Officials say that the driver took their eyes off the road for a second. When he looked back up, he was surprised to find that the vehicle in front of him had slowed down.

The Bolt crashed into the rear-end of a safety vehicle. Medical services were called to the scene around 10 a.m. to find that two people were injured in the accident. The driver and a passenger suffered a variety of injuries due to the crash and were taken to the hospital. Both parties are expected to be okay.

Police say that liability remains under investigation at this time.
