Norwalk, CA – High-Speed Chase in Area of Cheshire Street Leads to Injuries

Norwalk, CA (January 27, 2019) – In Norwalk on Friday, January 25, a high-speed chase took place in the area of Cheshire Street and Holmfield Aveue that led to injuries. The accident happened in the evening hours.

Authorities noticed that a vehicle was speeding and initiated a pursuit in Bellflower. Police say that the driver had been acting in a reckless manner and believed that he might have also been driving a stolen vehicle at the time.

Authorities lost track of the vehicle for quite some time but then found it in the Norwalk area. The suspect vehicle crashed into a sheriff’s vehicle and a deputy inside that vehicle was injured and taken to the hospital. We are not sure what their condition is at this time.

Authorities say that the suspect ditched the vehicle and fled on foot but they were eventually caught. The investigation into the matter continues.
