Moorpark, CA – Two Seriously Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 118

Moorpark, CA (February 3, 2019) – On Saturday afternoon, police responded to a multi-vehicle accident that took place on Highway 118 and led to serious injuries. In fact, one person had to be airlifted from the scene as a result.

The accident took place around 2:51 p.m. on Saturday just west of Grimes Canyon Road. Paramedics and a variety of other emergency responders were called to the scene and found that several vehicles collided for reasons that are not yet known.

The force of the impact was so jolting that one of the vehicles flipped over and trapped an occupant underneath. That victim was extricated from the vehicle and airlifted to the hospital in critical condition, though their condition is not known at this time.

Another person was treated for a wide variety of injuries but is expected to be okay. Officials had to clear one gallon of fuel from the scene of the crash.

At this time, the investigation into the accident continues.
